[image] How fun must it be to work on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia ? This show is like Seinfeld with the evil turned up to 11. Sometimes, the best comedy of manners is the one without any (also see Curb Your Enthusiasm)... #1 - A few local all-stars hook us up with the view heading into respective first round deciders: - Bernardo Fallas on HOU/SEA - Nick Green on LA/CHV - Shawn Mitchell on CLB/RSL #2 - Meanwhile, Fire coach Denis Hamlett was fuming a bit over Shalrie Joseph's alleged "space acquisition skills" on the game one winner. He is also still crossing fingers over the defense firm of Conde & Segares. #3 - The Salt ...

Nominees for AT&T Goal of the Year
3rd Degree —
November 2nd, 2009 . 11:40 pm . By: Buzz Carrick I only have one question. Where is the Cooper 70 yard goal? Are you kiding me? No Cooper? Let’s be honest, there are some real dogs in there. Even some long range shots that are nice, but none of them match the Cooper one. There are some nice FCD goals too, most of them are near the end when FCD got hot. I’m not saying Cooper should win, but there are what… 50 odd goals in here? Not to have Cooper is a joke. Here, I’ll even find it for them. Categories: Blog . No Comments No comments yet. The Spoiler —
Since there’s nothing else going on today…
With the MLS season drawing to a close, the league have released their candidates for 2009’s goal of the season. Although it might look like they’ve sort of missed the point and just documented every shot that went in, trust us, there are some pearlers in there (Brian McBride@ 1:35, for instance.)

Yes, it's a cheesy marketing exercise, but the MLS Goal of the Year (sorry, the AT&T; MLS Goal of the Year) vote is kinda fun. There are a lot of Seattle goals in there. There so cute when they are young, aren't they! (And yes I remember how many TFC goals were in the 2007 vote) ...

Goal and Save of the Year
Down the Byline —
Year end award nominees are coming out, and while no Wizards players are up the big awards, 3 Wizards are nominated for 2 awards. Davy Arnaud and Claudio Lopez are both up twice for goal of the year. Arnaud's first blast against Toronto on the opening week of the season is one of his two nominated goals. His other is his give and go play with Lopez in the team's 3-1 win over New England in June. Lopez's first goal is his free kick in KC's 1-1 draw with Chivas USA. The other goal is his midfield shot in KC's 1-1 draw with LA in KC. Arnaud's first goal is my favorite of those 4, but not my favorite overall, that's likely Clint Mathis' volley. Check out all the ...

Proof that the MLS Is Actually Very Good! (Video)
CaughtOffside.com —
It appears the Americans are beginning to get the hang of the game we like to call FOOTBALL and not SOCCER. Here are some of the goals of the season thus far, enjoy watching them whilst consuming an oversized meal and drink combo. But seriously it does seem that the US is producing some top talent of late with more than half of their last 18 man international squad plying their trade in top tier European Leagues no less.
