I have to say that I have every sympathy for Man United over the way they were essentially handed a defeat by the officials at Stamford Bridge and I think that Wayne Rooney’s response, see below as he mouths “12 men” on camera, was pretty calm when compared to Didier Drogba’s insane rant following Chelsea’s match with Barcelona last season. Thanks to the excellent Republik of Mancunia for bringing this to our attention.

While both Rooney and Ferguson have escaped punishment from the FA, however, Rooney has been given an official warning about his conduct after the “12 men” act on camera following the Chelsea game. Fergie on the other hand has been given a clean sheet this time.

Well, after the match Arsene Wenger talked at length about the anti-football display. He did not mention Fletcher's name but everyone can read between the lines.
